2018 Program Features:
 

• 3 hours of ice time per day and a total of 15 hours
  for the week

• Curriculum to include: Power Skating Each Day,
  Hand Skill Development, and Game Situational Play

• Each Player will receive a “Personal Written
  Evaluation and Individualized Development Plan”

• Coaching Staff to Include: (2) Masters Level
  Coaches, over 20 years of experience of coaching
  Professional Hockey Players, a Former Assistant
  NHL GM

• Each Player will review their skating daily with our
  Coaching Staff.

• Players will be taught in a disciplined, hockey
  educational, learning environment.

Coach Terry Christensen

Terry is currently the Vice President of The Flint Firebirds Hockey Club, a Member of the (OHL) Ontario Hockey League.  Throughout his career, he has Coached Hockey at Elite Levels for more than 30 years.  His Coaching experience includes Division I College, USA National Jr., Czech National Jr., and Professional Hockey as an Assistant, Head Coach, and Director of Player Personnel.

During these experiences, he has worked with some of the best Coaches in the game including Hall of Fame Coach Ron Mason at Michigan State, George Gwozdecky, former Assistant Coach with the Tampa Bay Lightning and Head Coach of Denver University, and the late Dave Peterson who was a Head Coach for a number of USA Hockey Olympic and National Teams.  In addition to this, in 2010, he was the first American to receive an opportunity to work with some of the Top Coaches and Management in the Czech Republic as an Assistant Coach for their U-20 National Team in the 2011 World Junior Championships.

Terry has also worked at a number of NHL Development Camps including the Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, and Columbus Blue Jackets.  During these Camps his primary responsibilities was the evaluation and development of Skating Skills.  
All of the Players who attend the Christensen Hockey School will see that Teaching Progressions are designed to meet the needs of the group or individual he is working with whether the Athlete is an Elite Level Player or someone who aspires to play the game at the highest level possible.  These Teaching Progressions are a culmination of all the influences of the Great Coaches and Hockey Experiences Terry has had throughout his career!
